Shark Moving – Your Movers in Hollywood, FL

Shark Moving moves homes and offices across Hollywood, Florida: the condominium towers of Hollywood Beach and A1A, the houses of Hollywood Lakes, Emerald Hills and Hollywood Hills, and the offices and stores downtown. Our crews come from our office in Opa-locka, in neighboring Miami-Dade County.

For a condo, we send your association our certificate of insurance, book the service elevator and the loading area, and protect the elevator, the hallways and the floors. For a house, we plan where the truck will stand and how the furniture comes out before moving day, so the crew starts work as soon as it arrives.

Order the full service — packing, furniture assembly, moving and storage — or only the part you need, and leave art and antiques to our white glove movers. Moving out of state? We deliver from Hollywood to New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Chicago, California and other states.

Moving in Hollywood: What to Know

"Hollywood by the Sea" was platted in 1921 on Joseph Wesley Young's land, and Young became the city's first mayor. Today about 44% of its homes are detached houses and 30% are in large buildings, more than a quarter were built before 1960, and the Lakes area, Hollywood Beach and the downtown business district are historic districts. Hollywood Lakes lies between the Intracoastal, Federal Highway, Sheridan Street and the south city limit, and the Broadwalk runs along the beach.

Hollywood Boulevard and Sheridan Street cross Florida's Turnpike, US 441, I-95 and US 1 inside the city and end at A1A, and Pembroke Road runs along its south side. Memorial Regional Hospital, a Level I trauma center, ArtsPark at Young Circle and the headquarters of HEICO are here, and part of Port Everglades lies in the city.

Using a portable storage unit? The city requires a permit and allows one unit per site, for up to 14 consecutive days and 28 days a year at a home, on the driveway or in the rear yard with alley access, and it has to go as soon as a hurricane warning is issued.

Shark moving and storage move me apartments within the same building. The owner Russel was a pleasure to arrange the move with. He made it simple and quoted me a very fair price. There were no surprises. What I love most is that he sent two guys who were very professional and friendly. They did everything seamlessly and professionally. They were very careful and very patient. They were not like typical movers who are fast and aggressive and add to the stress. They reduced all the stress and made it easy. It was really white glove service!!!! I would recommend them to all my family members and friends and will definitely use them for any of my moving needs. There were no surprises and the quote was exact. If you want to move with people who know what they are doing and make your move simple and easy, go with shark moving and storage!

As a Real Estate Broker, we have used many moving companies during the years but Shark Moving Miami is the BESTest. They showed up on time ( 3 mins earlier, which is very unusual for FL ). Mike and his partner are beyond professional and super careful about the things they moved. From now on, Shark Moving will be the only company we will use. Strongly recommend.

Those guys are always great. They did a really good job at Pilates Tropics Studio; the equipment is so big, and they moved it so fast and on time. The guys are super helpful, quick, and careful with the move. Brazilians in Miami can hire their services without fear.
